There are many opportunities to develop influencing, decision and policy making leadership skills in the sixth form. Sixth formers are role models for the younger pupils and they are involved in the day to day running of the school. They will assist with organising House activities, supervising sporting and musical events, and assuming an active role on the Prefect Team and Student Council.

Prefect positions include: Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl, and Heads of Houses – Gloucester, Windsor and York, Sports' Captain, Drama Captain and Pastoral Prefect.
The selection process for the Prefect Team is rigorous and involves a written application and interview.
Responsibilities to the wider community are also encouraged. Students help others by involvement in community service such as helping local charities or working in junior schools or old people's homes.
At Princess Helena College, the possibilities to take on responsibility are endless, giving students the chance to gain valuable experience of leading and managing people, and to develop organisational skills.
