Careers

All sixth form students benefit from relevant and thorough careers advice and guidance which prepares them for their University applications and beyond. On average 98% of our sixth formers go on to University.

The programme includes:

  • Lectures that provide information about specific careers, universities and gap years. Recent lectures have included 'Why go to University?', 'Exploring your ecological footprint' and a lecture from the Essex University Admissions Team.
  • Mock interviews undertaken by experts from outside school.
  • Opportunities to attend higher education conferences, university open days and relevant course information days.
  • One-to-one guidance and support in making your UCAS application

Sixth formers also have the use of our new well-resourced careers room and advice from our own careers advisor and those in the Herts Careers Service.

The Russell Group of 20 leading UK universities has published its first ever guide to post-16 subject choices. For more information, click on this link.
