From our Headmistress

Fortis qui se vincit – “strong is she who conquers herself” - has been our school motto for over 100 years, and it continues to resonate for girls in the 21st century. Self-doubt limits so many possibilities in life, and victory over herself may be the ultimate achievement for any girl.

At PHC we believe that a great education should ensure girls leave school equipped to live their best lives. Our girls can expect to be excited by the challenge and stimulation of their learning experiences, to find themselves enriched outside the breadth of the curriculum and to be empowered with a wealth of opportunity.

Through mentoring and experiences, we instill the life skills that enable girls to grasp opportunities and take on the world. We empower them to express opinions, lead projects, and effect change in the school. Our girls discover their own self-awareness, resilience and self-belief, enabling them to make the most of everything life has to offer, becoming passionately purposeful in their lives and achieving beyond their dreams.

The firm foundations of academic rigour, life-skills and emotional well-being laid at PHC create women ready for the world’s creative, innovative and energised workplace.

I warmly invite you to come and visit PHC. I look forward to meeting you, finding out about your daughter and what PHC can offer her.
