Ethos

We are fiercely proud of our girls' achievements and our value-added academic success. We believe this success is a direct result of our small class and set sizes, highly qualified and enthusiastic teachers and highly motivated girls. Each girl is pushed to achieve her very best – for some girls this is a string of A*s at GCSE, for others, Bs and Cs.

We are not an academic hothouse, girls with a broad spectrum of ability are offered places at Princess Helena College. This will include very bright girls who go onto Oxbridge, and will also include girls who have talents or strengths that are not necessarily academic.

We offer each girl the opportunity to excel within a varied and stimulating curriculum. Taught in small classes by teachers dedicated to supporting each pupil's talents and interests, our girls attain high levels of academic excellence and confidence. Set sizes rarely exceed 18 pupils.

It is important to us that each girl achieves her best set of academic results. Girls are encouraged to recognize their particular aptitudes and preferred learning styles. This allows girls to select the range of subjects that are most suited to their academic strengths and future career paths. The consideration of each girl's future happiness and success demands a choice that matches her abilities and personality
