Trips and Visits

Life is busy at Princess Helena College.  Each year numerous trips and visits are organised for girls as part of their curriculum, to supplement their learning or just for fun!
 
Curriculum trips include field trips, visits to museums and places of interest and language trips.

Recent geography field trips have included Kew Gardens, Epping Forest, the Natural History Museum and coastal areas of Norfolk. The Geography department also visit Barcelona and Swanage for field trips.

Bath is a regular location for History and Latin trips, whilst the History department also visits the Imperial War Museum and the Battlefields of the Somme.

Languages trips include visiting Bingen-am-Rhein (Germany) and the Opal Coast in France and recent Art Department visits have included Venice, Florence and Barcelona.

More adventurous and physically demanding trips include team building in Derbyshire, adventure weekends to the Isle of Man and ski trips to the Alps. The sports department also organises regular trips including an annual athletics training camp in Lanzarote.

For the next year, planned trips include a visit to Paris for girls in Years 11-13, a trip to Naples and Pompei as part of Classical Civilisation course and to Monschau and Aachen's Christmas Markets.  In the following year, a trip to India is being organised and a homestay visit to Spain.
