"The Annual Clayshoot Challenge was a most enjoyable and successful morning.

It was a beautiful sunny day and 50 'guns' took part, ranging from complete beginners to people who really looked as if they knew what they were doing. They were amply fortified with bacon butties, brownies and copious amounts of coffee, followed by red wine and a sit down lunch in the Old Hall.

Various prizes were awarded over lunch and the overall winning team was 'The Infamous Five', who hailed from Redcoats Farmhouse Hotel in Little Wymondley. The participants were all very generous in their support of the raffle and we had a spot auction for two tickets to the Aviva rugby final at Twickenham. The event raised an amazing £2,000.
A very big thank you to Flick Wright, who masterminded it all."
