"In a word, it was fantastic" said Mrs McCaul on her return from leading the India trip last week.
"The ‘India girls' are back and all in one piece after their intrepid adventure. They travelled over 1200 miles, by train, coach, air, boat and elephant! They stayed in four cities Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and Varanasi and experienced the joys of an overnight train journey in this vast sub continent.
Over nine days they were able to see, taste, smell and feel the culture and religion of this vibrant and amazing country! We visited temples, mosques, gurdwaras, palaces, forts and pilgrimage sites. We had tears, homesickness, immodium by the bucket load, but despite all of this it was priceless. The girls were overwhelmed, some more than others, but they all agreed it was well worth it. The experience couldn't be replicated in the classroom and one that will stop with them for the rest of their lives!"
