PHC Cadets Take To The Sky
Cadets from Princess Helena College and St Columba's College spent Sunday at RAF Abingdon with the 612 Volunteer Gliding Squadron.
It was a windy day which made for wobbly looking take offs but they were each in the air for around 20 mins and took over the controls once they were up and stable.These cadets have now completed their Basic Induction Course 1 in The Vigilant Air Cadet glider so, should they attend any future flying days, they will move onto learning a little more about the aircraft and its controls.
