The Modern Foreign Languages Department was very proud of girls' performances today in our first ever celebration of world poetry. Girls from Years 7-12 have been very busy over the last few weeks either writing their own poems, or learning the works of renowned poets.
We heard some wonderful poetry in French, Spanish and German, as well as from Russia, China, Thailand and Holland.
We commend the team efforts of all concerned, and we would like to extend a warm thank you to our guest judge, Mrs Nicola Ramsden, who very kindly gave up her time to give the girls some very positive feedback.
Well done to everyone, and we hope that this poetry competition will become an annual event at PHC.
Mr Ross.
