PHC brings home the medals in the Hertfordshire County Athletics Championships

On Saturday, 9 PHC girls competed in the Hertfordshire County Athletics Champs. Qualifying standards had to be obtained for entry and this was the largest number of girls from PHC to date to have taken part.

Benita Albert Faluyi, shown below on the winners' podium, did the school proud and came home with not one, but two gold medals for her fantastic performances in the pre-Junior Shot and High Jump.

Eliza May - 10th in Pre-junior (yr 7) Long Jump & 7th in hurdles.

Annie Reid - 7th in Junior (yr 8/9) Javelin

Sophia Kelly - 6th in Inter (yr10/11) Javelin

Fleur Lancaster - 6th in Junior Long Jump

Vanessa Brooker - 6th in Junior Discus

Aisling Hayward - 6th in Inter 800m.

Isabella Courtney & Georgina Kilby competed in the Junior 800m & hurdles heats respectively but did not make the finals.

Of special mention are Vanessa, Aisling and Benita who all set new school records.
